Last entry before Otakon

star_ocean_fanTomorrow, I leave for Kojika's to head for Otakon this weekend. This is the last entry before the convention so it's definitely going to be quite brief.
A note to all beginning cosplayers: If you plan on making your own costumes, I have a bit of advice for you before I dash off for the rest of the week. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! And ask questions of the people who can help you. Seriously. I have Fayt's shirt mostly finished but may end up scrapping it because I didn't enough material to make it look pretty. It's not bad for a first attempt - cutting out the design, sewing it together - but I didn't buy enough material to smooth out the rough edges around the edges. I also cut out too many pieces from the pattern that I don't need. I'm kind of in panic mode over this because I want the shirt to look right and nice for this upcoming weekend. Right now, it looks like neither, and I'll be attempting to salvage it before I leave for work. (If not, I plan on redoing it before leaving Kojika's home on Thursday - which I'll be down there tomorrow so I'll have some time.) So . . . don't rush yourself. When buying the fabric and patterns you want, ask about modifying it so it looks the way you want. Seriously. I forgot to tell my mom (who has been helping me with this) that I needed to modify the shirt.
Also, confirmed - Kyle Herbert will be at Otakon! You better believe I'll be getting his autograph on a few Star Ocean things. :)
Other than that, I've got nothing else for you guys.

I will get to posting Roger's segment a week from this Friday. Questions need to be in by midnight next Wednesday.
