Good news. Ish.
Dec. 14th, 2013 09:58 amAs of this week, for the rest of this year, I have a job. This could carry on for a while longer into 2014. I know, however, that this could change from a day to day basis because, well, that's life as a temporary placement worker. (Yes. Quite a mouthful there.) I am hoping to utilize this positive turn of events to my advantage in the upcoming year. That does mean buying more Star Ocean merchandise when I can, including doujin, and possibly holding a contest for some of the 2014 holidays with some prizes for everyone as well as finally getting a PSP so I can play the first two games.
This is all tentative. I must put emphasis on that word because things with work could change in a heartbeat. All I can do is do my best and hope things beyond the realm of my control don't change so I can do everything I'd like to do for the Star Ocean Universe.
That said, I have really sucked at updating and I most seriously, most humbly apologize for my long absence. So what else has gone on? Well, working, not working is one thing. Last month was NaNo and my last one. I may change my mind years down the road and participate again, but it'll be better if I avoid the competition for a few years. I have a bad habit of starting new projects and not finishing old ones. That's something that needs to change (especially if I'm ever going to complete the beast known as Destinies Intertwined by Fate). I'm currently working on finishing this last NaNo project (a story of original material that utilizes Nordic mythology), and I've watched Thor: The Dark World.
I do hope to have some Christmas/Yule/Holiday fiction for everyone up, probably the week of Christmas itself. I have some Star Ocean friends in need of some holiday cheer so they will definitely be getting some gift ficlets from me. Bummed out friends need the cheer most of all.
I have not even thought of doing anything with Ask the Star Ocean Character because of the craziness of the last month and a half. My apologies to those still waiting for Adray's section to appear and for the reboot. It really has been the furthest thing from my mind as of late.
I do hope to get back into the swing of things, in light of the job and working on the original novel. I hope everyone is having a safe and wonderful wintry season so far. Until the next time!
