Sadly, at this point, I've still not heard back from Laura Bailey herself or anyone representing Laura about an interview for this blog. I'm not giving up hope, however. I'll simply hold on to the idea until a later time.
There isn't much that I can glean from Laura Bailey's website, lizardbee.com, as the site is mostly about Laura's career as an actress, but I can tell you from looking at her website, her career has been quite prolific. In addition to giving voice to Reimi Saionji and Welch Vineyard in The Last Hope, Laura can be heard in other games such as Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 (the voice of Serah Farron), Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers (Bella), Mass Effect 3, Streetfighter x Tekken, Tales of Graces F, Kingdoms of Amular (some of her more recent roles) as well as lent her talents to animes like Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Fruits Baskets, Lupin the 3rd: Dragon of Doom and Lupin the 3rd: Farewell to Nostradamus, One Piece, Naruto, and Yu Yu Hakusho. She's also appeared in a few television shows (Walker, Texas Ranger) and some made for TV movies (The Staircase Murders on Lifetime where she has the lead role).
By all accounts, Laura started her acting career at a very early age. Born on May 28, 1981, in an undisclosed location in MIssissippi, if I were to guess which show got her into the business, I'd say it was Dragonball and Dragonball Z, both of which appeared in the mid to late 1980s. To know what prompted Laura into this career at such an early age is very intriguing to me. I'd also like to know what draws her to the roles that she takes and why she's pre-dominately a voice actress. Check out her gallery at her website . . . she's a very beautiful young woman who could be a model and movie actress. There's just not much personal information to be found on her, and it could very well be by design on her part.
Here's what I've been able to find about Laura through her website, her facebook page, and imdb.com
She married her longtime boyfriend, actor Travis Willingham, on September 25 of last year. She her collegiate studies at the acclaimed Quad C Theatre program at Collin County Community College in Plano, Texas (good luck and congratulations to her on that).
Laura is a gamer. She recently appeared at E3 and hung out at the Halo 4 party (June 6), and she claimed she wanted to get the game because it looked so cool.
Recently, Laura posted about LegoBatman2, which was released in the last week . . . she voices Harley, Poison Ivy, and Wonder Woman. She's thinking of getting the game so she can make her fight herself. (That's humorous.)
I wish I did have more to post about Laura. In finding her facebook page, she's coming across as a very warm, friendly person who isn't afraid to let her inner geek show.
